[ SIZE = "3 "] Hello, my name is Ian and I have just joined your forum . I am from the UK.
I have two Scirocco 's, one is a 1984 Scirocco Storm in Havana brown and the other is a 1989 Scirocco Scala in Alpine white .
I have restored both of these cars and will put some pictures up here as soon as I have worked out how to do so!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I liked the pictures that Matze put onto the Scirocco Register in the UK, and I especially liked the Karmann skirt, and would like to know the owner better!
Anyway, hopefully I have put some pictures on here of my 2 Scirocco's (and my Audi), you may notice the Storm, which was unique to the UK! The other is my white Scala.

Hi Ian, you are welcome

The Storm is really cool...a rare and nice-looking car. :thumb:

The white Scale looks also pretty great...good job!

Again thanks for the welcome. Yes, the Storm is very rare , VW only 600 ever made , all for the UK , 300 in Havana and brown 300 blue in Cosmos. then I first saw one for sale in a dealer in 1985, but it was out of my price range! My first was a 1978 Scirocco GLi , I was living in Germany then, in a town called Nienburg , Hannover, so yes I know and quite a few other places.
I used to love going very fast on the highways here in the UK we can only do 70 MPH (120 KPH ) on the motorways, not a good law!

Welcome and greetings from Essen (as far as I know the "Ruhrgebiet" is well known in the UK) ;-)

Really nice Sciroccos, especially the Storm =)

Suppose you've been here with the Royal Army?

Well, maybe you can make it over for a Scirocco meeting in the future, as this will allow you to drive the maximum speed on a German motorway ;-) I can tell you it's a real good feeling....

As I am not sure you know him, the user Tempest is also from the UK and an often seen visitor of the big European meetings (NL, D and others)...

Hello again, yes I lived in Germany with the British Army, nearly 4 years. I would love to come back for a Scirocco meet in Germany, it would be like bringing the car home! I am not sure about driving the Sciroccos on the Autobahn at high speed, they are getting old and I wouldn't want to blow them up!
Yes, I know Eric, the Dutchman. His MK1 is in the picture with my white Scala.
