Listen to the wise danish ppl :-) )
It's exactly as he says, it pushed maximum performance significantly, but you loose a big part of bottom end torque. I whouldn't recommend the 50mm Intake unless you're just after big numbers on the dyno and drive it just occasionaly. The 40mm gives a far more harmonic performance. A member of this board tested it once, running a modified 2.0l with 276° Schrick camshafts, it posted top performance by about 8PS, but he lost a lot of power and torque below about 4500. Like I said, just a deal to be made for big PS numbers on the dyno run or if you use your car on the racetrack most of the time, where you don't drop below 4500rpm.

Yes Juel, I know, quite tricky to find. But I stombled accros something interessing:

I think this guy is trying to pull one's finger. I don't think - well, I'm pretty sure - these camshafts are not VW Motorsport ones. BUT he says, that there is a VW logo on them, and that the idle is just like original. I think, those camshafts are ABF ones. They even look like ABF ones, you can easily recognise the difference to original 9A, PL and KR because the cam wings do not have a cutout. You might want to keep an eye on this. Can't quarantee they are ABF, but I think so.

If you give me your EMail Adress, I might have something interessting for you ;-)

Hi all

The danish guy is back :D

You can see my project here: http://starchild.dk/golf1cabrioprojekt/

I just delivered the engineblok to my local engine shop :)

I have modified the engine block where the oilpump are mounted, there was to little space for the crankshaft to turn.. but also the little oile jets under the pistons are a problem, when i use the pl piston and piston rod.. the pistonrod hits the oiljet skrew.. :(

but i cant test it with the 9A pistons and pistonrods before it comes back to the shop with the 82,5mm bore.. :o )

I will give you guys a follow up when i got more news.
