Re: 1984 GTi
Hi,
this is a very nice early Scirocco MkII ! You are right, there are not much early Mk II Scirocco GTI left. They were very famous in the 80s, because they are very fast, and in 1984 the GTI was the biggest Scirocco engine available ! I myself own a 1984 Scirocco GTS with GTI Engine, code: DX ! I'm sure the you will find an enthusiast for this beauty
kind regards
Marcus

Re: 1984 GTi
Hi,
Just noticed you're most likely also from the UK (the btopenworld bit gave it away
).
If so, whereabouts in the UK are you based?
You are right about the Mk2 GTIs being rare, DX engines were and still are lovely engines, and you may know that they culminated, at least in the UK, in the absolutely gorgeous Storm special edition, introduced in 1984
Not that I'm biased in any way
If you are in the UK, you may also have noticed that unless it's a Storm, general prices for Roccos, especially Mk2s are rock-bottom at the moment, unfortunately attracting the wrong sort of people to this car. Don't stick it on Autotrader, try some of the enthusiast's boards on the Internet, e.g. SciroccoWorld, The Golf magazine, etc.
But why are you planning on selling it? At least that's what I assume you're planning to do
