Yeah, that´s my problem too Doug.
I preferd the "oldstyle-look" before, and now it´s gone and my monitor is really bright now. I need to get used to it.

Nah, wear cool shades :hihi:

In actual fact, Rolf is looking for design ideas and people that can do design stuff, like a new banner at the top of the forum. He openly admits he´s no good at that sort of stuff rather concentrating on the die-hard techie-stuff, getting all the cogs in this new machine running smoothly :-) , so is seeking some help in getting the outer packaging to look right.

I wish I had some time to offer up some art.

Wow, that's a good pic in my book already, and art it is indeed!

I'll make Rolf aware of this.

OK,...... it does not have the Type 13 shown as the MK3 so it should not be too popular.

Erm, my type-13 filter seems to be so effective these days, that I hadn´t even noticed

Hi,

what we can reuse is the following (from the "old" forum):
cars_headerbg..jpg
and for the background (left and right) this
cars_headerbg..jpg
But as Tempest stated, I could program the forum to make coffee, but to get a nice look to the forum I am definitely the wrong guy.
The styles in the vBulletin 4 forum seem to be quite complicated to me. I thought of just renaming these pics to the default logo. But unfortunately the logo is a PNG rather than a JPG like the Scirocco logos. So I would have to convert it first. Also I searched for the tag showing vBulletin4_logo.png in it and wanted to rename this. Quite an effective way, but I got no search results at all. It's simply hidden.

IMHO with the logo the most ist already done. Now it seems to be "just" to get it in there and maybe change the backgrund colors a bit. As I've seen, even investing some hours on it, I couldn't get closer to the result. It's frustrating..

best regards
Rolf

Now that´s an excellent proposition :grins: Then include another facility to make beer! And you have a little money-maker :hihi:

Are you suggesting that possibly simply converting our existing logo into PNG format could do the trick? Here´s a copy in PNG-format (left all settings to default , like compression set to 9, but can change if necessary).

It wasn't just the conversion to png. After the next update everything went away. So today I set up an own Sciroccoforum style. Pooh, took me a day to complete this and I had to cancel my beloved Mösrath meeting. But it was worth it. Now the logo is on the top, the filler (yep, not that easy as it seems) is right next to it. I'd say it looks nice, hmm? Now it's all about changing some colours, giving some input to the CMS and then I'm done. For today :).

best regards
Rolf

P.S.: Oh, and don't forget the Teamspeak3-Server I set up on ts.rowi.net. If there are a couple of people using it the next days it could stay alive as a Sciroccoforum TS server...
