I hope my english is not too bad. :verlegen:
God luck so far!
Your English is good! Better than most in the USA.

I am not sure if you think the car is difficult for me to turn the steering wheel or the car does not want to turn with so much tire? The car is setup to turn very quickly and with nearly no human effort. The 255 wide tires stick out but do not rub any part of the car. Yes they sick out :) but not for looks. In Germany I think this car would not be allowed on the street. I think the car looks like a open wheel car. It is high speed cornering function that this MK1 is good at.

I have driven other Sciroccos with much thinner tires that did not turn as easy as this car.

When you said 2 weeks we all thought it was the 17th.
They have a GTG on the 17th.
I will try to find a contact for you.
At this point I don't know of any events but they are still thinking.

We have a very large Scirocco event in November but it is too late for you.
It is in Southern California.

If we were in Northern California I would pick you up from the Airport and show you the town.
My wife Kathy and I live in Southern California. Sad for us.

No problem Doug but thanx for the offer to help.
This "AAO circus" has been in Anaheim a few years ago. They have a revolving system for their conventions so that it surely will be in LA in a few years again.
Give my regards to your wife Kathy

Thank you. :grins:

Well, i thought of the possibility, if the tyres may rubb at any parts, but if it´s not so, than it´s even more sick. :sabber:
And yes, you´re right, your MK1 won´t be allowed on our streets, because youre tyres are standing out of the body. If they were covered, than it would be allowed.
And 255 wide rubbers. :sabber: In Germany only the widebody sciroccos are driving so wide rubbers. Now i fell some kind of lost with my 195 tyres. :hihi:
